LPNV Legislative Candidate & Gary Johnson Campaign Organize Voter Registration Drive On Pyramid Lake Indian Reservation

Press Release from David Colborne’s Campaign Team

RENO, NV — On September 7, the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe filed a lawsuit against the State of Nevada and Washoe County due to a lack of access to voter registration and polling places on the reservation. To address the Washoe County government’s failure to provide adequate facilities, and to meet the immediate needs of the Tribe, volunteers representing Gary Johnson, the Libertarian Party’s candidate for President, and David Colborne, the Libertarian Party’s candidate for State Senate District 15, are conducting a door-to-door voter registration drive on Saturday, September 17th, in the towns of Nixon and Sutcliffe. Additionally, volunteers from both campaigns shall provide free transportation on Election Day from Nixon and Sutcliffe to their closest polling location in Wadsworth.

Anyone interested in assisting these efforts is welcome to join the volunteers on Saturday, September 17th at 10 AM at the Starbucks on the corner of Pyramid Way and McCarran Blvd in Sparks, or to call either April Nieto, Co-State Director of the Nevada Johnson/Weld Campaign at 775-379-3070, or David Colborne’s campaign at 775-241-8071.
