Arn Menconi, running for U.S. Senate for the Green Party in Colorado and on the ballot in November, will participate in several events in Philadelphia during the Democratic National Convention from July 25, 2016 to July 28, 2016.

The events will range from marches and demonstrations to public meetings and will provide an opportunity for participation, action and conversation outside of the Democratic National Convention.

On Thursday, July 28, Mr. Menconi will host an evening event to welcome delegates and voters who are leaving the Democratic Party to join the Green Party for the People’s Revolution. The event will include actions, speeches by Green Party leaders, and community discussion.

In 1993, Arn Menconi founded the Snowboard Outreach Society, now SOS Outreach, a grassroots 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides funding and activities for youth at risk. The SOS program now runs at over 30 ski areas in 15 states and has provided programming for over 5,000 kids, as well as day trips for over 25,000 students.

Mr. Menconi served as Eagle County Commissioner from 2000 to 2008. He has served on numerous community and statewide non-profit boards and has worked on community development initiatives, which include long-term economic planning, affordable housing and early childhood development. He is a well-known progressive leader in sustainability and social justice.

His most important role is father to his two children, Maya & Matteo.
