Presidential candidate Darrell Castle last week visited Jackson on a tour of stops in Georgia.
Running as the pick of the Constitution Party, which he said he helped found in 1992, Castle is an attorney from Memphis, Tenn., and is making only his second run for public office. He was the Constitution Party’s pick for vice president in 2008.
During an interview Friday, Castle said navigating each state’s ballot access process to get on ballots for the November election has been one of his campaign’s challenges. He said Friday he’s so far gotten on the ballot in 18 states, with a goal of reaching 42.
Castle’s wife Joan is his campaign manager.
