Georgia Green Party finalize plans for 2016 Nominating Convention

Macon Meeting Saturday, June 4th to Name, Instruct Delegates for Houston Convention

Earlier this month, Party officers gave legal notice that the 2016 Annual Meeting of the Georgia Green Party will meet Saturday, June 4, from 10:00 am till 4:00 pm at The High Street Unitarian Universalist Church, at 1085 High St., Macon GA 31201.

This convention will consider proposed changes to the Platform and By-laws, elect state Party leadership, name the Party’s slate for the Electoral College, consider nominations for other partisan offices, elect and instruct Delegates to the Houston Presidential Nominating Convention.

A Presidential Preference Caucus will be conducted permitting each Georgia Green credentialled as a Delegate to the meeting to instruct our Delegates to the Houston Convention on Georgia’s preference among the candidates seeking the Party’s Presidential nomination.

The public is welcome to this free event. Greens from counties without active Party affiliates are urged to be on time to participate in their county caucus to choose delegates to the state convention.
